Dodoma was founded in 1907 by German colonists during construction of the Tanzania central railway line.
Dodoma is located in the heartland of Tanzania; Dodoma is the national official political capital and is where the national parliament is located.
Since then this region was the least developed area of Tanzania, but as of now Dodoma is advancing dramatically, mainly due to government plan to relocate headquarters to Dodoma by 2019.
In 2016, the government of Tanzania made a clear decision to move Government headquarters from Dar Es Salaam To Dodoma, implementation of this plan started right away. This decision was a business opportunity as it attracted a lot of investments and recent reports depicts that, Dodoma is the leading region in revenue collection in the country.
Dodoma is the center of a multiple Organizations. GTL offers a number of internship and volunteer programs in government Organizations and private Organizations/private companies. Volunteers have the opportunity to experience working with local organizations devoted to education, child welfare, and community development.
